There is an average of 10 million people in Saigon and 5 million motorcycles. Yip, 50% of the population drive motorcyle. Cars is too expensive, you pay up to 200% tax on your vehicle. There is also no proof that everyone has got a lisence as nobody checks this. Very few police but plenty security, nearly every little shop has its own security. It was an experience to cross the streets. Imagine this, about 100 motorcycles, the odd car and plenty of trucks drive towards you. How do you cross? You start walking.,..yea. As you walk, the traffic stop. The first few times I actually waited for an old lady, they seem to stop easier for them. I would then walk with her, talking to her off course..she obviously did not understand but I am safe.
Then there is the chairs at the street stalls. These are the ones we had when we were children, small children, 2,3 years old.
This man was smoking pipe through his nose.
The toilets in most places.
The BEST invention ever. The robots tell you how long the light will be a certain colour.
